What to Expect

We want you to feel as comfortable as possible when you visit!

Arriving

As you drive into the parking lot, look for Guest Parking on the left side near the church.

The main entrance is clearly marked and located under the awning. If it is raining or snowing, please feel free to drive under the awning to drop everyone off before circling around to park.

The handicap ramp is on the right side of the building. You may pull up to it and park on the grass nearby. The ramp leads directly to the double doors at the front of the church. Come right in!

Once Inside

We are so glad you are here! Someone will be available to welcome you, help with kids’ check-in, and guide you to where you need to go. If this is your first Sunday with us, we have a special gift for you. We pray it will be both a blessing and a helpful introduction to our church.

Inside your gift bag, you will find a Connection Card. We would greatly appreciate it if you would fill it out and either drop it in the offering plate near the door or give it to a volunteer at the Connection Center. This helps us stay in touch with you.

You will see a variety of clothing styles. Some will be in Sunday best, and others in jeans and a T-shirt. We do not mind what you wear. We are simply delighted that you chose to spend time with the Lord with us today!

The Service

During our service, you will see that we take the Lord very seriously, but we do not take ourselves too seriously.

We begin with announcements, followed by sharing specific prayer needs. A time of worship through music and Scripture reading helps us turn our hearts toward the Lord and His Word. Our music is a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary choruses.

Toward the end of the music time, kids will be dismissed to go to Kids Connection. Parents are asked to accompany their children to their small group and then return to the service.

Pastor Jon will bring a message from God’s Word. He generally works through one book of the Bible at a time, helping everyone connect with God’s Word and apply it to their lives.

At the conclusion of the service, parents should return to their child’s classroom with their matching tag to pick up their children.

Next Time

We know that visiting a new church can feel uncomfortable and overwhelming. It is our hope and prayer that you will return now that you have experienced your first visit.

On your second visit, try to meet a few people, ask questions, and stop by our Connection Center to see how Maplehurst Baptist Church can help you and your family grow in your faith.

Thank you for trusting us with your Sunday. We look forward to seeing you again next week!
